Creamy Strawberry Banana Shake

Living in Florida is hard. The beach, the palm trees… Disney. Okay, maybe it’s not that hard. But if you’re a fellow native you know I’m not exaggerating when I say the heat and humidity can make you never want to part from your homes AC unit. Luckily I have a solution, ice cold shakes! More specifically this Creamy Strawberry Banana Shake!

Great as a post workout beverage or as a quick morning breakfast smoothie. The only thing your missing is one of those fun mason jars that come with their own straws! Love those.

Creamy Strawberry Banana Shake

  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 5 frozen strawberries
  • 1 egg white
  • ¼ c. rolled oats
  • ¾ c. unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ c. of ice

If you usually add protein powder to your post workout shake, keep in mind to skip the egg white or reduce the amount of protein powder. You might be surprised to know that even power and endurance athletes don’t need as much protein as you might think. Check out the links below to learn more about protein recommendations.
